June 2026 has officially been proclaimed Whole Child Health and Well-Being Month in North Carolina, shining a spotlight on what children need to grow, learn and thrive.
The proclamation recognizes the importance of supporting children’s physical health, emotional well-being, development, resilience and lifelong success. It also affirms a simple but powerful idea: children do best when families, schools, health providers, early childhood programs and communities work together.
At Partnership for Children of the Foothills, this whole-child approach is at the heart of our work. From family support and early learning opportunities to child care resources, health screenings, parent education and community partnerships, we help connect young children and their families with the tools and support they need during the most important years of development.
When we invest in children early, we strengthen families, classrooms, workplaces and communities for years to come.
This month is a reminder that every child deserves the opportunity to be healthy, supported, safe and ready to succeed — not someday, but starting now.
We invite you to read the full proclamation and join us in recognizing the importance of supporting every child’s health, development and well-being — in the classroom, at home and throughout our community.
