Families are invited to a joyful morning of play, imagination and discovery at a special “Little Sprouts, Big Fun!” Fabulous Free Friday event designed just for young children.
The Partnership for Children of the Foothills has teamed up with Denise Strickland, the Rootle Ambassador for Rutherford County, and KidSenses Children’s Interactive Museum to host this engaging, hands-on experience on Friday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at KidSenses, located at 172 N. Main St. in Rutherfordton.
Part of the museum’s popular Fabulous Free Friday series, the event will feature interactive story times, movement activities and hands-on play—all inspired by themes of planting, growing and discovery. Children will explore, create and learn through experiences designed to spark curiosity and support early development.
Each child will receive a take-home bag with a DIY planting kit, giving families a fun way to continue the experience at home. Attendees who sign up for the PBS Newsletter will also be entered into a drawing for a gift basket. “This is a wonderful opportunity for families to come together, enjoy a morning of play and learning, and take home something that helps those moments keep growing,” said Desiree Magnant, Community Outreach Manager at the partnership.
The event is free and open to all children and their families, with no pre-registration required.
